"Collections: Photography & Painting"

In Abstract Photography, Polly Norman has combined her knowledge of painting and photography to create a new collection of abstract photographs. Through a three-fold process of Norman’s invention objects are: shot through Pennsylvania glass block; treated with photogram techniques and finally hand colored.

Norman says, "In my work, I incorporate motion and non-representational expression.  To accomplish this, I use filters in my traditional photography and warped glass with refractive/reflective surfaces for my abstract photography. Channels of color and contrasting lines are used to create a sense of flow and motion in my abstract paintings."
